Trash-Free San Ramon

Visit our newest publication that covers the general story for Trash-Free San Ramon.

Under the lead of Kerry Parker, the city of San Ramon is taking a different approach to disposable waste: Instead of writing a law banning straws or plastic foodware, San Ramon has designed a program meant to encourage, educate, and reward businesses and residents in taking steps toward reducing dependency on single-use foodware.

In 2022, Aiden Park founded the Trash-Free San Ramon youth volunteer group to help with city events like festivals, concerts, and clean-ups, motivated by his work with the city program Trash-Free San Ramon. He also promoted Trash-Free San Ramon and certified stores, creating a website with an interactive map to easily locate and access information for the community.
